A dietary supplement for certain patients with high blood levels of homocysteine or kidney failure, or those who are on dialysis or do not receive the proper amount of vitamins from their diet. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. This medicine is a vitamin and folic acid combination. It works by providing vitamins and folic acid to the body to help meet nutritional requirements.
- Use this medicine as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- This medicine may be taken with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
- If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
- Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use this medicine.
