Lyrica is used for:
Treating fibromyalgia or nerve pain caused by certain conditions (eg, shingles, diabetic nerve problems). It is also used in combination with other medicines to treat certain types of seizures. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. This medicine is an anticonvulsant and neuropathic pain agent. Exactly how this medicine works is not known. It is thought to bind to certain areas in the brain that help reduce seizures, nerve pain, and anxiety.

  How to use Lyrica

How to use Lyrica:

- Use this medicine as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- This medicine comes with an extra patient information sheet called a Medication Guide. Read it carefully. Read it again each time you get this medicine refilled.
- Take this medicine by mouth with or without food.
- Take this medicine on a regular schedule to get the most benefit from it.
- Taking this medicine at the same time each day will help you remember to take it.
- If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
- Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use this medicine.

Possible side effects of Lyrica:

- Blurred vision; changes in sexual function; constipation; dizziness; drowsiness; dry mouth; gas; headache; increased appetite; lightheadedness; stomach pain; trouble concentrating; weight gain.
