Mimvey is a hormone replacement therapy which uses a combination of estradiol (a type of estrogen) and norethindrone (a progesterone) to alleviate symptoms and complications of menopause.
Common side effects may include insomnia, mildly depressed moods, headache, breast or back pain, acne, hair loss, changes in weight, stomach cramps or bloating, nausea, breakthrough bleeding, or vaginal itching and discharge. You should seek medical attention if you experience any of the following severe side effects: signs of heart attack, sudden and severe headache, sudden numbness or weakness vision problems, problems with balance and coordination, slurred speech, pain and swelling with warmth or redness in one or both legs, sudden cough or wheezing especially if coughing up blood, rapid breathing, jaundice, breast lump, vomiting, or unusual vaginal bleeding.
Mimvey is one of several branded generics available for this medication (estradiol/norethindrone). Branded versions include Activella and Ena. Another branded generic is lopreeza.
