Duavee is a hormone replacement drug that prevents post-menopausal osteoporosis, eases menopausal symptoms (e.g., hot flashes), and helps to prevent uterine cancer by replacing estrogen in the body while inhibiting estrogen in the uterine lining.
Common side effects include dizziness, neck pain, muscle spasms, throat/sinus pain, stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea. Some less common side effects can be severe and require medical attention, including: a breast lump, swelling or tenderness in your breasts, sudden loss of vision, unusual or severe dizziness or tiredness, abnormal vaginal bleeding, stomach pain, vomiting, signs of blood clot (pain or swelling with warmth or redness in one or both legs, chest pain with a sudden cough or wheezing, especially if coughing up blood), signs of stroke (sudden and severe headache, sudden numbness or weakness especially only on one side of the body, slurred speech, problems with vision or balance), or signs of heart attack (chest pain or pressure, especially if it spreads to your shoulder or jaw, nausea, cold sweat).
