Zylet is an ophthalmic medication that utilizes loteprednol (a corticosteroid) to prevent the release of substances responsible for inflammation as well as tobramycin (an antibiotic). If you have been prescribed more than one drop, wait at least five minutes before applying another drop. If you also use another ophthalmic medication, wait at least ten minutes before using it. Never let the eyedropper touch your eye. Do not use Zylet while wearing contact lenses.

Common side effects include headache, sensitivity to light, mild burning or stinging in your eyes, watery eyes, and mild puffiness in the eyelids. You may also experience temporarily blurred vision after applying the drops. However, some side effects can be serious and require immediate medical attention, including: allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, hives, swelling in your face or lips, swelling in your tongue or throat), signs of new infection (redness and swelling, irritation or itching, pain, drainage), severe burning or stinging during or immediately after application, eye pain, halos around lights, continually blurry vision, a cloudy or hazy appearance in your vision or over your eye.
