Description: Savings card that lowers your out-of-pocket costs for three prescriptions.
Savings: One half of your copay with a maximum of $25 per prescription. Ex: $25 copay gets a $12.50 discount; $50 copay gets $25 discount
Explanation: This is a part of special patient education program distributed to doctors by pharmaceutical representatives. There is a good chance that your doctor has a supply of these coupons sitting around in his office.
If your doctor does not have a supply of these coupons, he must call the drug company at 1-800-256-1826 and request them.
The drug company will dispatch a pharmaceutical representative to meet with your doctor, drop off the coupons and explain how the program works.
Only doctors who normally prescribe blood pressure lowering agents are appropriate to participate in this program (i.e., cardiologists, endocrinologists, nephrologists, family practice physicians, internists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, etc.)
These coupons can not be requested by pharmacists.
This program is generally not appropriate for doctors who do not typically prescribe blood pressure lowering agents (such as surgeons, retired doctors, opthamologists, gynecologists, oncologists, allergists, dermatologists, etc.)
