Naftin is a topical antifungal medication that's available as a cream or a gel. It is not intended to be ingested, used on the eyes, or used in the vagina or anus. It should be applied as a thin layer of medication on the affected area of skin, as well as on a half inch of healthy skin around the affected area. The affected area should be allowed to breathe, so avoid bandaging it or wearing tight, restrictive clothing over it.
Naftin Side Effects:
The most common side effects are skin dryness or irritation where you apply the medication. One possible serious side effect is an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, hives, swelling in the face or lips, swelling in the tongue or throat).
