The Minivelle patch is used to transdermally administer estrogen as a part of hormone therapy to treat symptoms of Menopause (hot flashes, vaginal irritation or burning, vaginal dryness), to treat certain kinds of ovarian disorders, and to prevent Postmenopausal Osteoporosis.
If you experience any unusual vaginal bleeding, contact your doctor immediately. Severe side effects of Minivelle that require immediate medical assistance include: jaundice, skin rash, signs of a blood clot (wheezing or rapid breathing, sudden cough, coughing up blood, chest pain, swelling and warmth or redness in your legs), signs of extreme levels of calcium (muscle pain or weakness, muscle tightness or contraction, joint pain, overactive reflexes, numb or tingling feeling around the mouth, unusual heart rate, increased thirst and urination, nausea and vomiting, constipation, confusion), unusual lump in your breast, tenderness or swelling in your stomach, signs of stroke (problems with vision, balance, or speech, sudden and severe numbness especially on one side of the body, sudden and severe headache).
