This medication is a combination of hydrochlorothiazide (a diuretic) and telmisartan (an angiotensin II receptor antagonist), and it works to prevent hypertension (i.e., high blood pressure) by preventing your body from absorbing too much salt, preventing the narrowing of blood vessels, and improving blood flow.
