Jardiance is used to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It is not to be used to treat type 1 diabetes or to treat ketoacidosis.
Jardiance may cause side effects including increased thirst and more frequent urination. If these side effects are severe or persistent, tell your doctor. Serious side effects that you should see your doctor about immediately include trouble breathing, abdominal pain, vomiting, yeast infection, urinary tract infection, fruity breath, flu-like symptoms, and low blood sugar.
