Explanation: These special coupons are distributed to doctors by
pharmaceutical representatives in lieu of drug samples. There is a good chance that your doctor has a supply of these coupons.
If your doctor does not have a supply of these coupons, he must call the
Novartis at 1-866-465-6987 and request them. The drug company will dispatch a pharmaceutical representative to meet with your doctor,
drop off the coupons and explain how the program works.
Only doctors who normally use hypertension medicines are appropriate to participate in this program (i.e., family practice, internist, endocrinologist, cardiologist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, etc.)
This program is generally not appropriate for doctors who do not routinely prescribe antihypertensive drugs (such as surgeons, retired doctors, opthamologists, gynecologists, oncologists, allergists, etc.)
