Fortunately, we offer a free savings card and coupon for Atrovent that helps reduce the price by as much as 75%. For more information about Atrovent HFA, a potential manufacturer coupon, or our offers, please see the sections below.

Atrovent Information

Read information about Atrovent below to learn about its common uses. If you have questions about this medicine, please consult with your doctor or pharmacist and be sure to inform them of all the medications you are currently taking.

  Atrovent Uses

Atrovent Uses:
This medication is available to use via inhaler or via nebulizer. As an anticholinergic bronchodilator, Atrovert HFA relaxes and opens air passages to the lungs in order to prevent the wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath associated with breathing disorders such as COPD and chronic bronchitis. This medication is not intended to be used to treat or stop a bronchospasm attack, so be sure you talk to your doctor about a fast-acting ‘rescue’ inhaler that you can carry with you at all times.

  Atrovent Side Effects

Atrovent Side Effects:
Some side effects are serious and require medical attention, including: vision problems, difficult or painful urination, urinating less or not at all, worsening symptoms, or bronchospasm after starting a new prescription. Common side effects only need medical attention if they persist or get worse. These can include dizziness, headache, fever, flu-like symptoms (chills with fever, body aches), sinus pain, stuffy nose, coughing or hoarseness, dry mouth, nausea or upset stomach, and constipation.

  Atrovent Generics & Similar Drugs

Atrovent Generics & Similar Drugs:
There aren't any alternate brands for this medication, however, in some cases its generic -- ipratropium oral inhalation -- is available in pharmacies. You should be aware that there is a similarly named medication, Atrovent Nasal, with the same active ingredient. The two medications are not used to treat the same thing and are not interchangeable. Be sure you always get the medication that's been prescribed to you.
